Q)I forgot my username/password!
A)In this case also click on the login button in the homepage. You will be taken to the login form where a "forgot password" link is there which can be used to reset your password.

Q) I want to add an avatar, How can I do it?
A) Go to myAccount -> Personal Information
P.N - avatars in questions and answers are presently locked, although your avatar will be visible in your account page.

Q)What are the pre-requisites for joining GetAnswers?
A)There is no pre-requisites for joining computerkid if you are not planning for revenue sharing with us. You can directly register and start posting questions and/or answers. If you are planning for revenue sharing then you should be having a Google adsense account which you can get free of cost from here.

Q)How is the revenue sharing done?
A)When you post questions, advertisements are displayed on the page of your posting. And whenever some other user clicks on the ad, you get money credited to your google adsense account.

Q)How will you sent the money that I get through adsense?
A)Hi its too early to think about that... ;). Anyway transfer of money is through google and we have no part in it. The only thing we do is place ads on your behalf. Money will be credited to your adsense account which you can check here. by logging in with your login details. More information on adsense can be found out from the same site. ----------------------------------------
Q)Is there any restrictions on the kind of questions and answers that can be posted? A)Yes, The questions and answers should not be spam. If we catch anyone spamming their account will be deleted with no prior notice.

Q)What is spam?
A)Ok, Spam in our context means.... Questions that are created with no meaning... like "Hi... Do u know me?" We agree that those are questions but no, those are not permitted here. We want intelligent questions and intelligent answers. Any kind of advertising is also considered spam. Like.. "hi visit my site here..". All these kind of content will be deleted without prior notice along with the account.

Q) How can I post a question?
A) There is an "Ask a question" link on the top menu. Click on that and you will be taken to a page where you have a textbox to enter your question. And also enter the category suited for the question. If category related to your question is not there select the category " Other" from the list. Then submit the question.

Q) How can I post an answer? A) Click on a question and you will be taken to a page where already existing answers are posted.There is a link there "Share your views". Click on it and you will be taken to an editor where you can enter your answer.

Q) Why should I enter my adsense id?
A) We never force you to enter Adsense ID, In our community we share the revenue we get through this site to our users. And only if you would like to avail that offer, you are required to enter your adsense ID.

Q) Where should I enter the adsense ID?
A) Hi during registration there is an option for you to enter your adsense ID. Even if you don't fill in the Adsense ID at registration you can do it later by following the steps below My account -> Revenue Sharing Tab -> Adsense Publisher ID -> Save (Don't forget to save)

Q) How much is the revenue sharing ratio?
A) As an introductory offer we are giving a ratio of 10:90 (10 for you and 90 for us). That is 10% of the time your ad will be placed in your question pages. This ratio is subjected to change anytime and will be posted in the blog to notify all members in case we decide to change the value.

Q) What is the kind of revenue I can expect?
A) There are 2 different ways by which you can gain revenue from GetAnswers.
I will explain the first method with a simple example.
Assumptions:
1. You posted 2 questions per day for 20 days in a month. || Total questions : 40.
2. Over 2000 people saw your questions.(It will be much more in reality) ||
Total pageviews : 2000
3. At 50% revenue sharing your ads will be shown to 1000 people who visit. ||
Your Adviews : 1000
4. Out of the 1000 people, 100 of them clicked on your ad || Total clicks : 100
5. At a payout of $0.5 per click you will get revenue of $50. || Your pay : $50
Remember that we are not directly paying any money, this amount will be available in your google adsense account, which you will be able to claim from google when it reaches $100.
The second method :[if contests are running]
1. Posting a question will take a point from you, whereas posting an answer will give you 10 points. Refer this for more ways to earn points. Any spam answers will be deleted along with the point you got. So as the number of answers you post increases, your points too will increase. And every week 5 top scorers are paid Rs 50 each [When weekly contest are running.]We have a lot of moderators around and spamming will not be tolerated. It can lead to permanent deletion of your account from GetAnswers, so answer only what you know. Don't answer for points alone.

Q) Will others see my adsense ID? I don't want them to see it!
A) Hi your adsense ID will not be visible to any other through your profile but it will naturally be visible on the source code of the page if your ads are being displayed. Well, we cant do anything about that because tampering with it will be a breach of adsense terms of use. If you are not comfortable with that; we advice you to not join the revenue sharing feature by simply leaving the "adsense ID" on your profile blank.

Q) Do I get anything by inviting people?
A) Yup, there will be lot more people to answer your questions and a lot more questions waiting to be answered by you. Thus help you gain more points! Another thing is that the inviting friends will fetch you points. If you are using adsense, and if the people you are inviting also uses adsense then you will get 5% share of the adsense page impression they get! So you earn more.

Q) How can I know whether the question I am going to ask is already posted?
A) Just type the keywords of your question in the search box and search.

Q) How can I know which answer to my question is the best one?
A) All the members can rate the answers. So the answer with the highest rating should be the best answer. We trust our user to rate justly!

Q) Hi I would like to moderate in our community... What should I do for that?
A) We accept volunteers for moderating. We need people who are trustworthy. If you are interested to moderate our community mail us at amitz27@gmail.com with subject "I would like to moderate getanswers". We will acknowledge you via mail but we will be tracking your use throughout the site for a few days before we approve. After approval all the actions you perform on the site are tracked and if we find that any unnecessary actions have been performed, you will straightaway be taken out of the rolls from Getanswers. Ya we value trust. So please, only if you are really interested, apply for moderator previleges.

Q) Is this revenue sharing against the Google TOS?
A) As far as we know, it is perfectly OK. Again if you are not sure about it; better don't join for the revenue sharing program.

Q) What is cl!ckfr@ud?
A) Cl!cking on your own ads intentionally is fr@udcl!ck. Better refrain from doing that because Google is smarter than us! Their complex algorithms easily track fr@udcl!cks and one day you'll receive a mail stating "your account has been disabled". You might get away few times. But believe me, they do account reviews frequently and you'll be caught.They wont show any mercy, even if your account holds $99 presently. All that will be gone for that stupid action.

Q) How can I earn more?
A) Your earnings will directly depend on 4 things.
1. Your Question
2. The Answers
3. The indexing by search engines.
4. Social bookmarking.
In these 4, your effort comes into the picture in the first and last one. Only if it is a valid and useful question you will get traffic to your page. Give catchy titles so that people will think of checking it out. But make sure title matches your question. Another thing is to submit your question to social bookmarking sites like Stumbleupon, Digg etc. These will cause increase in your pageviews, hopefully more clicks, more answers and more revenue.
