is btech mba combination mean loosing the significance of the b.tech degree

is btech mba combination mean loosing the significance of the b.tech degree as one is switching from technical field to managerial field so after mba the b.tech will no longer be a lucrative one.

I was thinking about this for a while. In the current scenario, the trend is to do MBA or MS or Master's after you complete your b-tech. It is in high demand, to survive in the IT sector.

It is not that you lose significance of tenth grade when you pass the hire secondary exam. In the same manner, I don't believe the significance of b-tech degree is being affected on getting an MBA.
It does transform your career path from a technical guy to a management one. I agree to your opinion on that. This is really a topic of concern.

And its all about choices. After hire secondary, people limit there choices to either engineering or medical stream. Same way, IT guys after a couple of year's experience, choose to go for management degree.
Huh, i myself do get confused sometimes. :)

yaa...what "Agent47" said is true!Taking an additional degree, after you earn a degree in your core field, is just for sharpening your existing skills. These additional skills are useful ,when your manager needs to select odd one out of team, for promotion or some offer!i.e person with additional skills will have more chances of getting selected.
