Many parents send their kids away from them to boarding schools for various reasons. Reasons may range from them not having time to cater to the child themselves or their desire to give their child the best education for which many boarding schools are very famous. But this does deprive the child of the love of parents and family and knowing how it feels to be a part of a family.

There is so much competition these days to put your kids in the so called "best" schools. Parents are ready to give any amount of donations to achieve this purpose. But do you think that expensive schools are really an important means to give your child the basic skills and knowledge required to prepare her/ him for the future?

There is a common practice abroad for parents to track their children using GPS technology in mobile phones and car trackers, etc. Do you think this is a good idea and we should get this technology in India too? Would it work here? we already have control for which programmes kids watch on tv...this could be the next step in keeping an eye on your child, but is it right?

In the recent past a lot of noise was made about chinese toys in India which were hazardous to childrens' health. The reason for the same was that China was making incredibly cheap toys and it was doubted that they must be compromising on the quality of the material which went into the making of the toys to keep costs low.

Earlier we used to go to school at the age of 5 - then at 3...and now there are playschools where you can admit your child as soon as the very tender age of 2! Don't you think that this causes kids to start feeling the pressure of school life and studies just too soon? Also, doesn't this cause them to start loosing their innocence and carefree childhood too soon?

I was browsing through the net searching for Kids forums, but I was surprised having not found one. Anyone here knows of a good forum for Kids in India?
