My prediction, my philosophy, & plan on building my future home will be- definitely more green. It would be a smaller home, smaller windows to conserve energy, use of more solar panels, rain water harvesting, low flow or waterless toilets, and possibly wind turbens to generate power.
These are all being done right now, but in the future they will be more main stream. There are homes being built with vegitated roofs!
